We offer open door to the resource spaces that include computer systems and Internet, telephones, and facsimile machine. Also, job hunters can go to on-site recruiting events, workshops on resumé writing, interviewing skills, and job search activities, or pursue more intensive training or certifications for professions that are in demand. All 95 Tennessee counties are served by an American Job Center with certified personnel and open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Job Centers are grouped by locations called LWDAs (Local Workforce Development Areas).

Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs)

LWDAs are area clusters of counties whose labor market and other employment-related aspects are comparable. This means each location provides workforce development and profession services based upon regional needs. LWDAs are affiliate, or partners who assist run and administer programs and services as directed from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) at all of the local task centers throughout the state.
